OISTAT in 2017
In 2017, OISTAT will be presenting World Congress, World Stage Design & Scenofest, Theatre Architecture Competition and Technical Invention Prize. We are very excited to announce that this is the very first time in history that the four major events are all happening in the same year. On top of that, OISTAT members will be electing President and Executive Committee 2017-2021.
World Stage Design & Scenofest July 1-9
Held in Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), Taiwan. Designers from around 60 countries across five continents will be presenting their works, sharing creative ideas with participants from various fields of arts.
World Congress July 3-4
Every four years, delegates gather and elect the President and Executive Committee members, also to make decisions on important issues of the organisation.
Theatre Architecture Competition (TAC)
Themed “Theatre as Public Space”, TAC 2017 opens for submission from February 17 to March 17, 2017. Competition site is Public Activity Center, a disused sports stadium at Hsinchu City in Taiwan.
Technical Invention Prize (TIP)
Awarded to technicians working in theatre or any part of the entertainment industry who have simple and smart solutions for work. Submission ends on March 30, 2017.
